New buyers always like to have a contact in their own country to phone with their anxieties, while the animal is in transit. They have the whole process down pat, know all the contacts between Europe and the US,
all the federal papers and quarantines, and DEFRA requirements. They can quote you a price that is all inclusive from your door to the client's door, anywhere in the UK or Europe. The journey includes a few days rest in Holland once they fly across the ocean, to get their legs under them again, before being hauled to their ultimate destination.
Example of costs: Texas to Aberdeen, Scotland last summer.. the total shipping costs
door-to-door, including hauling to the quarantine depot, quarantine for 6 weeks,
hauling overseas, and a layover in Holland for $4500
