His sire Playgun  #3178989 was the highest money earning 4-yr-old cutting horse of 1996 with over $185,000 won. He was the Augusta Futurity Champion in the Pro & Non-Pro, the Bonanza Derby Champion Non-Pro, Steamboat Springs Derby Open Champion, El Cid Classic Open Champion, among many others too many to list ; son of Freckles Playboy, Awards: COA, Bronze, Silver; 2nd All-Time Leading sire of Cutting Horses.

Playgun's dam (HH Derringer's Grandam), was Miss Silver Pistol NCHA winnings of $512,755. NCHA Non-Pro Futurity Champion, NCHA Super Stakes Co-reserve Champion, offspring with earnings over $300,000.
